How to know if growth is actually a problem
Feelings mislead; charts don’t. Plot your child’s height and weight on standard growth percentiles (you can do this free in our Child Growth Centre). Warning patterns include falling across two or more percentile lines, weight far below height percentile, or no weight gain over 6 months in a young child.
Common underlying causes we screen for
- Iron deficiency and low appetite cycles
